At HALI MOTIF, every fingerprint impression piece is truly one of a kind. Unlike laser-engraved jewellery, we use the traditional lost wax carving method to capture the real texture, depth, and unique shapes of your loved one’s fingerprint - whether that be a child, a partner, a pet, or someone who has passed.

Each impression returned is carefully crafted by Breanna with close attention to detail. A silicone mould is also created of every impression, kept by you in case the original is ever lost. We know how heartbreaking it would be to lose a piece made from the print of a child who is now grown or someone no longer with you - this added layer of protection brings peace of mind. This mould can also be used to create additional moulds for other loved ones, or for other designs if you would like a different style.

If we believe an impression can be captured more clearly, we’ll always reach out to ensure you get the most beautiful and accurate result possible.

You have the choice of taking an impression of one print, a double (either on the face or back-to-back) impression, or multiple impressions in any way that you desire. We recommend that if you are hoping to have three or more impressions on the same pendant to choose a medium or large size pendant.

With rings, you cannot create back-to-back impressions, however they can have mulitiple on the one side

Of course! And they create beautiful impressions. Paws, claws, noses, scales, feathers… you design it how you desire.

At any age. Although babies prints are not fully defined until they are 1 year, however we have had beautiful impressions of babies that are only 5 months old, or whole finger impressions of babies 5 weeks old. It is completely up to the individual on whether they are looking for a memory of the fingers, or an actual defined print. When Breanna's twins were born, she created a double back-to-back impression of their tiny newborn fingers for the memory.

Yes. A silicone mould is created of the preferred impression which can be used to create different pieces. If this is what you are wanting to do please write this in the order notes.

Yes. Time is of course of the essence in these situations so I would recommend ordering as soon as possible and emailinghere with the subject line as URGENT. Therefore, we know to contact you as soon as possible so we can get the impression kit sent out to you or the funeral home right away.

Yes. A silicone mould will be taken of your original mould so it stays untouched. We can then create duplicate pieces from the silicone mould. Please write this in the notes at checkout so I know that you do not need an impression kit sent. We will then email you providing details on how to safely post your impression.

We have actually worked with orthodontist or utility wax (from a dentist), or if you can find a two part putty that may work well also (you may find this at art stores).

My pieces go by a particular size/weight, so please try to make the impression no larger than the large size pendant of 2cm round.

Our pieces are made to order using varied techniques and therefore depend on your specific piece.
