the fig pendant - sterling silver
- Description
In Ancient Greece, figs were considered a sacred fruit and considered to be a symbol of love, fertility, abundance, and associated with the female genitalia. The main reason for this association is because figs are red and split at the seam, giving an overall vulvic vibe.
The Greek word for ‘fig’ is also the same as the word ‘vulva’ (sykon), in addition to other romance languages, such as Italian.
