Soul Keep Impression Instructions
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING YOUR IMPRESSION
Important Information
- All Soul Keep orders come with enough putty for a large-sized impression. This is because we recommend taking the full impression. We then create a silicone mold of the original so that it remains untouched. From there, we can choose the most beautiful area of the impression and either cut it down to your chosen size or keep it as originally taken. However, we recommend keeping it as close to the original size as possible to preserve its unique beauty. If the person is much smaller than the piece of putty, you can remove some of the putty before mixing, which will give you more opportunities to take the impressions.
- The putty is best mixed in a cool environment. If your hands are warm, we suggest using gloves so it does not interfere with the setting time.
- The time of mixing and taking the impression is up to 2 minutes
- If you have a preferred mould, write number 1 on the lid of the tin.

To Begin
- Lay out contents
- Place the size guide on a firm surface where the impression will be taken.
- The size guide is recommended so the impression does not become too thin.
Mixing
- Roll the pink and white putty together, making sure a uniform (all pink) colour is obtained
- The working time of the putty is up to 2 minutes (including mixing time), so if you would like retake it you can within that time by re-rolling the putty.
Taking Impression
- Press the finger/hand/foot making sure that the impression does not go too far outside the outline of the circle (this is so the impression does not become too thin)
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Slowly and gently lift off
- Repeat this process with the other putty
- Leave the impressions to set on the guide for approximately 10 minutes at room temperature, or longer if in a cooler environment
- Three moulds are created for safety purposes - 1 for you to keep and 2 to return to Soul Keep
Packaging
- Once the putty is set, gently remove the impressions from the size guide and place them seperately into the black tins
- Place securely back into the original box
- You may hold onto the impressions until you are ready to create your impression piece
